Well today Lura and I went into Chicago with Lura's mom, her mom's friend/neighbor, and her neighbor's two kids. The kids were a few years younger than us, but they were nice for the most part so it was cool.
Anyways, so we took the train into Chicago then got on a water taxi to Navy Pier, one of the number one tourist destinations in Chicago. There is this big fountain there, and the first thing we did was rip off our clothing and go playing in the water. Luckily we had bathing suits on, so this wasn't a problem. After that we realized we had no way of drying off, and we were drenched. So then we laid on the middle of the sidewalk to dry off. All these old ladies were staying at us like we were whores and stuff, but we just ignored it. Our clothes got pretty wet when we put them back on, but it was alright. We walked around Navy Pier for a while, then went to lunch. Then we went on the big swings that all spin around, then the Ferris Wheel. After that we went on a speedboat tour around Lake Michigan, looking at all the cool buildings. Then we went on this 3D ride, then after that we went shopping in the stores.
After that we took another water taxi to Millenium Park. There we went to the little water buildings there. They look like mini skyscrapers and they have water spilling all over them. The water collects in a middle pool in the center. Then on the buildings big faces appear, and they spit out water. It's so cool.
After that we got back on the train and came back home! It was so much fun. I got really sunburned, but that always happened no matter how long I'm outside.
